Pembroke Wanderers and Cork Harlequins have qualified for today's final of the men's All Ireland club championship at Belfield after coming through yesterday's semi-finals against Glenanne and Cork C of I respectively. Pembroke beat Glenanne 7-2 with Ian Symons and Gordon Elliott scoring two apiece. Cork Harlequins had to fight long and hard to overcome C of I, the Munster league and cup winners getting home with second-half goals from Paul Lombard and Richard Gash.
In the first of the women's semi-finals, Pegasus beat Cork Harlequins 3-1. It was level at the break with Clare McMahon of Pegasus and Emer Cregan of Harlequins exchanging goals but a second-half strike from McMahon following by a third from Suzanne Beaney put the issue beyond doubt.
