THE Irish branch of the company behind the Hilton Hotel group made over 3m profit on the sale of the last Dublin hotel they owned according to the latest filed accounts.
Hilton Hotels Ireland Ltd benefited to the tune of 3,397,224 on the sale of the Hilton Dublin City Hotel on Charlemont Place in Dublin 2 when the sale went through in April 2005. On disposal of their interest in the hotel they immediately signed a management contract for its operation.
The group now only manage three hotels in Ireland, the Hilton Airport hotel and the Hilton in Kilmainham, also in Dublin.
Their turnover dropped by almost 6m on the previously filed period going from 9,546,644 to 3,535,178. They paid 163,569 corporation tax in the period and had shareholders funds worth 195,321.
The directors were named as WJ Reddie (Scottish), JC Philip (British) and F Schaefer (German).
