WESTPORT, Co Mayo saw the opening this week of Westpoint, an impressive 70m mixed-use scheme of 101 apartments, a medical centre, creche and office and retail units. To date, the scheme by Padraic Connolly Holdings is the largest new development in the town.
Westpoint is adjacent to the town centre, on a site just opposite the train station. The commercial side of the development is being anchored by Tesco, while on the residential side there will be a choice of one-, two- and three-bed apartments.
Westport is a thriving town with a strong tourist and business culture and a good rental market all year round. The development is designed by Atlantic Architects and overlooks Carrowbeg River and Colonels Wood.
All apartments and duplexes either have good-sized balconies or timberdecked roof gardens, while parking at either surface or basement level is included.
Standard features include underfloor zoned central heating, fitted kitchens with appliances and recessed lighting throughout.
