THERE will be 40 models across a choice of five engines with five- and sixspeed transmissions in the new Mondeo range which goes on sale during the summer.
The saloon, hatchback and estate versions will each have four distinct versions . . . LX, Zetec, Titanium and Ghia . . . and top marks to Ford for making Electronic Stability Control a standard feature across the range. Also standard will be seven airbags, which include a driver's knee airbag.
Other features in the package will be Ford Easyfuel capless refuelling (the fuel cap is attached to the opening panel), air conditioning and an audio input socket in the glove box for external audio device connections. A 1.6 petrol and a 1.8 turbodiesel engine are offered on the LX version.
The Zetec level gets climate control, cruise control, front fog lights and two litre and 2.5 litre petrol engines and a twolitre diesel engine, while the Ghia version gets 17" alloy wheels and automatic wipers and headlights.
The Titanium range adds adaptive headlights, front and rear parking sensors and leathertrimmed sports seats.
