Pro-cannabis march in Dublin IRELAND'S first ever pro-cannabis march takes place in Dublin today. World Wide Marijuana March Ireland has organised the march to protest at the prohibition of cannabis in Ireland.

Marchers will congregate at 2pm at the Garden of Remembrance and walk from O'Connell St to the Central Bank.

Spokesman Tim Reilly appealed for marchers to "act responsibly" and ensure the event goes smoothly.

Two arrested over Derry murder TWO men and a woman were arrested yesterday in connection with the murder of Jim McFadden (42) in Derry.

The father of four from Moyola Drive in Shantallow, died after he was beaten around the head with a baseball bat at his front door.

Detectives had not established a motive for what they called an unprovoked attack.

They appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Man in his 60s charged with child sex offences

A 64-YEAR-OLD man appeared before Belfast Magistrates Court yesterday charged with a series of sexual offences against children dating back almost a decade. The man is accused of rape, unlawful imprisonment and giving drugs or alcohol to children to gain carnal knowledge.

He has also been linked to gross indecency, indecent assault and taking indecent images of children. The offences allegedly occurred between 1998 and 2003.
