Culwick Choral Society is an amateur choir drawn from all parts of Dublin so this might be a choice for fans or benefactors of the choir.

It's a live recording taken on 21 May last year at the National Concert Hall and the post- production on it, by Colin Block, has served it well.

The choir, amateur though they are, enjoy some great moments of melodrama in a collective capacity but in more exposed passages, the quality suffers. Soloists Slater and Whelan offer a significant lift to the performance. Distributed by Cosmic Sounds, a movement has also been made available to download on www. culwick. org.
