I Want A Garden
Today, RTE One, 8.30pm
RTE returns with its most rubbishy named programme ever. One wonders how they come up with such awfully un-catchy titles. Maybe they have RTE magnetic poetry and just fling random words at the fridge ('house', 'in the sun', 'I', 'make me', 'revisited', 'eddie hobbs', 'the', '?', 'your', 'show'). Actually, I would buy some of that. Expect to see it in an Urban Outfitters near you soon. So Diarmuid Gavin has returned; trowel in hand, ideas in mind, muck in cord crease. The Hoffman family from Blackrock Co Dublin are big Diarmo fans and plan to make, like, the best garden ever? Starting with, wait for it, a Coco Chanel Pathway ("interlinked 'C's on different levels that float above the planting. A type of curved catwalk . . . very strong lines that visually and actually lead the eye.")
