UTV has said its radio revenue in the first half of the year in Britain will be about the same as a year earlier and that the Irish radio unit's revenue growth will be less than UTV forecast.
UTV's "broadly flat" radio sales in Britain compare with an "expected" 2% decline in revenue in the overall UK radio market, chairman John McGuckian told shareholders Friday.
The company said television revenue will drop by 1% from the year-ago period, compared with ITV1's revenue, which UTV said will drop by about 10%.
The Irish radio division will have an increase in revenue of 2%, less than the company previously forecast, because of "weakness in local sales", McGuckian said.
