Festival season brings some of the coolest musical acts in the world to these shores but, on 18 June, you have the chance to experience the wonderful Buena Vista Social Club in the relatively luxurious environs of the Cork Opera House, as opposed to a mucky field. This is their only Irish appearance and is the first in the 2007 Bulmer's Original Artists Series, which will see Donal Lunny and jazz pianist Brad Mehldau appear here later in the year. Appearing will be Cachaito Lopez on double bass, Manuel 'Guajiro' Mirabal on trumpet, Jesus 'Aguaje' Ramos on trombone and Manuel Galban on guitar and organ. Not to be missed.
