DENMARK'S Lego, they of the locking bricks, replaced Italy's Barilla as the world's most respected company, according to the Reputation Institute in New York. IKEA, soon to be in Ballymun, Dublin, ranked number two.
The most represented country is the US with 31 companies in the top 200, followed by Denmark with 17. Russia and Japan both had 16 companies in the rankings. The best reputation gains were reported for Russia, with an average improvement of over ten points between 2006 and 2007. Sadly, no Irish firms made the list.
