This month we're loving. . .
Bottles of art Orla Walsh's Ketchup Collection borrows from Pop Art's enduring appeal, and has seen Heinz's iconic bottle hanging in homes all over Ireland and the UK. Most impressively the Heinz Corporation bagged a few of her witty ketchup canvasses for their headquarters in Pittsburgh. The Dublin artist's new still life collection mixes old with new, featuring vibrant renderings of everyday objects . . . vegetables, keys, milk jugs and, just occasionally, her signature ketchup bottle. Orla's paintings start from 600. Her work can be viewed at Kenny's Lahinch Art Gallery, June 2-23 or online at www. orlawalsh. com.
Garden in a gallery Garden lovers passing through West Cork this summer will enjoy a visit to Etain Hickey's Clonakilty Gallery. She's invited 13 artists . . . whose skills range from glass fusing to metal work to furniture making . . .to partake in her Garden Lovers exhibition.
Opening on 23 June, visitors can expect to find the great outdoors indoors, where oneoff sculptures and water features will be up for grabs. Expect the unexpected . . .quirky fountains, three-dimensional wall plaques, a decorative clothesline and a 'Euro Money Tree' . . . amongst ceramics, paintings and copper work.
