WE HAVE galleries in London, Dublin and Ibiza and I live between Dublin and Ibiza. It's supposed to be half and half but the reality is that I spend three weeks a month in Dublin and only one week in Spain. I have two very different types of Sunday depending on where I am. In Spain, it's a very laidback, lazy kind of day . . . I spend most of it out enjoying the sun on the terrace. I'd usually have friends over for a late brunch . . .
I tend to cook Spanish food when I'm there so it'll be tapas and tortilla.
I have a big old farmhouse with a good bit of land and after eating we go for a walk.
There are lots of old fruit trees and we gather lemons and limes and oranges. I have six dogs including a family of Jack Russells . . . Wutang, Nuala (who's originally from Buncrana in Donegal) and their children Blue and Chingy . . . and they all come too.
In the evening I usually drive into Ibiza town and sit at a cafe down by the port watching the world go by. It's a great place for people watching. There are a lot of crazy party people around, particularly during the summer.
I'm a bit of a workaholic, so Sundays in Dublin are spent in the gallery. In fact it's the busiest day of the week in business terms. I've been working with Kevin for over 10 years now. I started off handling his PR and now I curate and hang all his exhibitions.
Hanging can take a very long time, it's supposed to look effortless and it's the kind of thing that you only notice when the job is done badly. The new exhibition, 'What Colour Are Kisses?' includes both paintings and installations.
He's painted life-size Klu Klux Klan type robes and turned something ugly and scary into a thing of beauty.
One Sunday a month we have a 'one day only' show down the country somewhere.
We were in Cavan last week.
Effectively what we're doing is taking the paintings on tour and showing them to people who wouldn't normally get to see the work. The shows are hugely popular.
On Sunday evening, Kevin and I usually head out for dinner to discuss business plans and our strategies for the future. The whole thrust at the moment is international. We're having Kevin's first big solo show in New York in the autumn so there's a lot to organise.
Our favourite restaurant is Sweet Basil Thai restaurant in Rathmines. I used to own a Thai restaurant in London so I know about the food and this is the best I've ever tasted. It's fantastic.
When I get home, I get on the phone for a chat with my mum.
She lives in Liverpool and she's an amazing woman, a great mother and a truly supportive friend. We're both reading The Secret by Rhonda Byrne at the moment. I'm on my second read . . . I feel like I've found the Holy Grail.
I'm a bit of a sceptic and not easily taken in but my life just hasn't been the same since I read this book for the first time. My mum used to suffer from panic attacks but she hasn't had any since she started reading the book. I think it's miraculous.
'What Colour Are Kisses?' is at Sharkey, 80 Francis Street, Dublin 8 until the end of June.
