The Greens on Fianna Fil. . .

"Asking the Green Party to go into office with Fianna Fil really does not take account of the real world."

- Green Party leader Trevor Sargent "No to War" - In 2003 Green TDs stood up in the Dil holding up large printed letters which spelt the slogan 'No to War' just as An Taoiseach Bertie Ahern rose to speak during leaders' questions in the House. They were protesting the use of Shannon airport by the US military.

"[Is the Taoiseach going to] stand idly by while dodgy builders in the Galway tent like Mick and Tom Bailey and dodgy builders in government like the Minister of State, deputy Fahey, set the real standards for government under this Fianna Fil-Progressive Democrat Government?"

- Trevor Sargent (under Dil privilege), last June.

"You are a clown."

- Trevor Sargent to John O'Donoghue, Dil debate, 2 March 2006 "You are off your trolley."

- John Gormley on John O'Donoghue, Dil debate, 2 March 2006
