Pole drowns off Aran Islands



A POLISH man drowned yesterday after he fell from a fishing boat off the west coast. The incident happened at around 6am about 48km off the Aran Islands and involved an Irish-based trawler with a crew of five. The body of the man, in his 30s, was taken to University College Hospital, Galway.
