JOYCE SECURES IRELAND SPOT FOR EUROPEANS



John Joe Joyce will represent Ireland at light welterweight at the 5th European Union Championships following victory over Aodh Carlyle at the National Stadium in Dublin yesterday.

Joyce, from the St Michael's Athy club, won the four rounder on a 2616 scoreline and has now been included on the Irish panel for the Championships which begin at the National Stadium on Monday, 18 June.
