'DUXIE' DENIED MASTERS TITLE BY GERAGHTY



Mayo's Kevin Geraghty from the Swinford Club produced a major shock when he defeated legendary Kilkenny handballer Michael 'Duxie' Walsh, in the Masters Singles final of the All Ireland Hardball (60x30) Championships at Mullingar late on Friday night, on a 21-15, 21-19 scoreline. Meanwhile, Tipperary's Ger Coonan (Ballina) defeated Roscommon's Chris Doolin (St Coman's, Roscommon) to capture the Junior Singles title on a scoreline of 21-15, 21-12.
