HOT SHOTS - IN FOR A ROASTING

Brunch is often presented as the more cosmopolitan weekend dining option but there are only so many times you can eat Eggs Benedict or variations of. Balzac Brasserie at 35 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, is shaking things up with a new Sunday roast menu. The beef is carved up at your table, the chicken comes with Cafe de Paris butter and shoulder of lamb is served up with wild garlic gravy. The menu also includes roasted whole cod with rosemary, chilli and olive oil, and the roasts are for two people, priced from 38. The starters are pretty moreish too (crab creme brulee with pickled cucumber, chicken liver parfait and wild mushrooms). The menu is served from 1pm-8pm. Call 01 6774444; www. balzac. ie .
