THORNSETT GROUP LTD, the Irish-owned property development company, has unveiled a new office on Chaussee d'Etterbeek in the centre of Brussels to facilitate sales of the company's residential developments in Belgium. The company, which also has operations in Ireland, England and Wales acquired its first site in Brussels 18 months ago and is now involved in local developments and projects worth approximately 170m. The total value of schemes currently being undertaken by the group in all four marketplaces is in the region of 480m.
The new offices on No 62 Chaussee d'Etterbeek measure approximately 200sq m and were officially opened by EU Commissioner, Charlie McCreevy. The office space is thoroughly contemporary with high-spec interiors and large glass windows which fill the space with an abundance of natural light. The offices contain a state of the art off-site marketing suite to give buyers an idea of what their new home will look like in terms of design, layout and quality. This identikit space, which is the first of its kind in Brussels, currently represents the apartments for sale at Leopold Village, the new development recently unveiled by the company.
Leopold is a mixed-use development of apartments, retail space and a loft hotel, located in the city centre. It's 250 metres from the European Commission and European Parliament buildings and is overlooked by the Council of Ministers building and the building which houses the Irish delegation to the EU. This is the second development officially launched by Thornsett in Brussels. The company recently unveiled Boniface Square, a boutique development of 28 apartments in the Ixelles district of the city.
