*TRIED & TASTED GRANOLA
By Jillian Bolger

What better way to get the day off to a healthy start than with a bowl of crunchy, fruity granola.

But which is the fruitiest and nuttiest of them all?

We sort out the wheat from the chaff. . .

Jordan's Original Crunchy . . .

Raisins and Almonds /5.25/1kg A nice, crunchy cereal. Lovely oatmeal taste but not enough almond flakes. Not too sweet, and very tasty **** M&S Pomegranate-infused Granola /4.29/500g Quite sticky and chewy, the pomegranate flavouring overpowers the other tastes, creating an overly sweet confection ** Quaker Oats Granola /1.38/600g Extra crunchy with plenty of plump raisins, it tastes reassuringly wholesome. It's also good value ***** Tesco Maple and Pecan Crisp /1.89/500g An extremely sweet cereal.

There's plenty of delicious pecans and maple flavours but no real oaty crunch. A highly sugary way to start the day
