Keep it country next weekend at the Midlands Music Festival (www. midlandsmusicfestival. ie) taking place in Belevdere House, Mullingar on 28-29 July. Headlining are legends such as Christy Moore, Kris Kristofferson, Glen Campbell and Steve Earle (right), with Aimee Mann, the Blind Boys of Alabama and the Waterboys brining up the rear.
This year, there's an extended children's area with a Lambert puppet show, arts and crafts, and circus acrobatics. There's also a with a Kiddie's Party on 29th with pinatas and face painting.
Children under 12 go free, making this one of the most familyfriendly festivals around.
