In a bid to try and stamp out football hooliganism in Germany, a police force in Aachen organised a special 'anti-violence' match between local youngsters.
Unfortunately, one spectator spent most of the game heckling the players, five of whom proceeded to attack him, leading to a mass brawl and five arrests. A redfaced police spokesman said afterwards: "We had thought this game would show local kids that sport was a meaningful way of spending their spare time."
Not as meaningful as a good old-fashioned dust-up.
