CHANNEL 4 TV property show and magazine A Place in the Sun found in its most recent '20 Best Places to Make Money' poll that Portugal as a whole was the third best location, after Poland and Romania, to make money in property.
"Portugal is one of the cheapest places in the EU to live and has shown strong property growth for a couple of years now, " reported the magazine.
Monte Laguna, located on the Millennium Golf Course in the resort of Vilamoura, is one of the latest resorts to be launched in the area. A popular tourist resort, Vilamoura is famous for its marina, which berths 1,000 yachts, its luxurious reputation and designer lifestyle.
Lusort, part of the Spanish company, Grupo Prasa, now aims to develop it into one of the number one destinations in Europe and has invested 750m in the Vilamoura XXI project, whose main feature will include a 30-acre freshwater lake and canal system.
Apartments at Monte Laguna consist of 99sq m one-bed duplex apartments from 265,000, 125sq m two-bed apartments from 304,500, 137sq m three-bed apartments from 393,750, 330sq m three-bed townhouses from 493,500 and 591sq m four-bed villas from 787,500.
