WEEK 2: SCORE OF THE WEEK Helen McHugh (Galway) 1-7 vs Roscommon
The Galway newcomer from the Caherlistrane club made her mark on this year's Championship with an impressive haul of 1-7 against Roscommon. Galway ran away with the Group 2 clash in Tuam, but it was the NUIG graduate who gave the standout performance of the day.
Other impressive tallies from last weekend included Gemma Begley's 2-02 for Tyrone against Donegal, Aileen Matthew's eight point haul for Armagh and Sinead Aherne from Dublin, who chalked up 2-01 against Waterford.
Hughes managed to edge out Mayo's Cora Staunton as the week's top scorer, as Staunton could only manage nine points in Mayo's game against Kerry. Staunton remains the overall top scorer on a total of 22 points after two games.
