Instore to open Dublin outlet
FURNITURE chain Instore has set a November date for the opening of their new outlet in Dublin.

This aims to meet customer demand for their products which are also available to buy online via www. instore. ie. Other stores are based in Sligo, Waterford, Limerick and Galway. The location for the Dublin outlet will be at the former Ambrose Glass Unit, Spruce Avenue, Stillorgan Business Park. The premises was sold for an undisclosed sum by Savills HOK with a guide price prior to tender set at 4.9m. Established by Oliver and John Moloney in 1988, the chain, which employs 126 full-time staff, currently has a turn-over in excess of 15m.

Global agent sets up in Dublin
INTERNATIONALLY-renowned estate agency Engel & Volkers obviously haven't been deterred by the slowdown in the property market, having just launched its Irish office in Dublin 15. The company, which was originally set up in 1977 in Germany, now has offices in 22 countries.

Kells booked for /125m centre Plans have been lodged for a 125m mixed shopping and residential development in Kells, Co Meath. Dunnes Stores will be the main anchor with a store size of over 5,000sq m.

Design will be courtesy of OBK Architects and the overall scheme will include a creche, library, cafes, restaurants, underground parking for 700 cars, plus over 200 housing units. The development will be located on an 18-acre site known locally as Backlands, with pedestrian walkways to main streets including an integration with the older town centre district.
