LAST week we reported a 24% decline in audience for the 5pm to 7pm average quarter hour listenership on RTE 2FM. This was based on an invalid comparison between listeners for the Will Leahy show and a previous programme in an earlier slot of 4pm to 6pm.
The Will Leahy Show began broadcasting on 5 March and now has 95,000 listeners. It is the number 11 programme in the country for 15-34 year olds.
There was a slight drop of 1%, rather than 24%, in average quarter hour listenership compared to the exact same time slot over the same period the previous year.
RTE 2FM management say they are pleased with the performance of The Will Leahy Show.
