2007 All Ireland Fo o t b a l l F i n a l

EXPERT VIEWS JOHN KIELY Waterford manager You've got to say Kerry because they're the best team in Ireland. The man I'll be looking out for today is Kieran Donaghy.

There's a huge game in that guy. He was very good when they brought him out the "eld against Dublin and personally I'd start him at mid"eld. Cork's best chance is to defend in numbers and deny Kerry space. If their half-backs attack it'll open up the game . . . but also open up room for the Kerry forwards.

Verdict Kerry BRENDAN MURPHY Meath goalkeeper I don't see anything other than a tight match. The two teams have played each other so often over the last couple of seasons, they know each other inside out. The mid"eld tactics will be important. There won't be a lot of clean ball there, so the battle for breaking ball will be crucial.

It won't be a goalfest either; I'll be surprised if more than one goal is scored.

Verdict Kerry by two or three points OISIN McCONVILLE Armagh forward People can dress it up and try and think of different permutations and possibilities, but at the end of the day Kerry are going to win and it's as simple as that. It's very Kerry . . . when they smell blood and see another All Ireland, they get greedy and go for it. For Cork to do it they'll have to be better in every position, they'll have to be lucky and Kerry will have to have an off-day. That might sound harsh because Cork are there on merit.

Verdict Kerry are "ve, six, seven points a better team LIAM KEARNS Laois manager Cork are coming. They've a real chance here. And the betting is ridiculous; 9-4 against them in a two-horse race where there's not that much between the teams? Because it'll be so crowded and congested there, I'm not sure if the mid"eld battle will decisive; you'll see both Michael Cussen and Kieran Donaghy out there at some stage. I think a score of 1-14 might be enough to win it . . . and Kerry may have that bit extra up front to get them there.

Verdict Kerry
