Athlone's exclusive Gateway Centre



Agents Hynes Real Estate Alliance are reporting brisk sales for Athlone's newest commercial development.

Anchored by Smyth's SuperValu, Gateway Centre, by Oysterhomes is a mixed commercial development comprising 1,700 sq. m. of office space, 5,000 sq. m of industrial space, 600 sq. m of retail & pharmacy space, 1,400 sq. m Super Valu Anchor, 300 sq. m of medical centre, 400 parking spaces, 68 bedroom Athlone Springs Hotel with 1,600 sq. m state of the art leisure centre and a 20m pool.

Developed in a series of 5 blocks, Gateway Centre will have retail and office facilities located at the road-front, with a glass fronted building in the roadside designed to compliment the Athlone Springs Hotel. Next to open will be The Athlone Springs Hotel. Owned by Oysterhomes and operated by the Vantage Hotel Management Company, this 68 bedroom facility has a bright split level restaurant, a relaxing bar, an elegant ballroom and state of the art conference and meeting rooms. Added to these is a large (1,600 sq. m ) health, fitness and leisure club. The executive floor offers bedrooms with king size beds and bathrooms with deluxe walk-in showers.

Family accommodation includes bedrooms with a double and a single bed as well as interconnecting suites. The restaurant at the Athlone Springs will be the hotel's 'piece de resistance'.

Under an elegant raised ceiling, the restaurant will have seating for up to a hundred guests. The leisure, health and fitness club will be a popular retreat for both hotel guests and those living in west Athlone area. The facilities include a twenty-metre pool, a fully equipped gym, an aerobics centre, a children's playroom, a team room and four exclusive treatment rooms.

Located just off the N6, the Gateway Centre is a choice destination for businesses looking for state of the art facilities with 1,700 sq. m. of office space and 5,000 sq. m of industrial space being developed. Terms have been agreed on a number of these already with booking now being taken on the balance.
