Three Cork-based boutique owners share their most hotly tipped buys for the new season.
MARIE HARTY Lisboa, Lisboa, 39 Maylor St, Cork T: 021 427 0032 1 A cardigan coat. It's one of the key shapes for autumn. The best one we have in store is in 100% lambswool black by Gerard Darel ( 199).
2 Something black patent and two-tone to go with the new trend for layering different fabrics and textures in black.
3 A new dress. People find them so easy to wear. Look for something versatile . . . we have a grey layered 'harvest' wrap-over by Black, London ( 359).
CLODAGH SHORTEN Samui, 17 Drawbridge St, Cork T: 021 4278080; clodaghatsamui@eircom. net 1 A fabulous dress by a really hot designer such as Catherine Malandrino. My favourite this season is the infinity print in pink and purple ( 400).
2 Leather bomber jackets are so on-trend this season but to really stand out pick one by a designer such as LAbased Rick Owens ( 1,460).
3 A piece of ornate knitwear to liven up those at-home winter days. I love anything by the brand Tabla which we stock here. Prices range from 500.
BETH HAUGHTON Beth boutique, 17 French Church St, Cork T:021 4274300; www. boulevardbeth. com
1 A plain black shift Audrey Hepburn shift dress. It might sound boring but it's one of the key shapes of the season.
2 A pair of red shoes to go with the whole diva 1940s look that is so strong for the season. My favourites are the sparkly red 'Dorothy' shoes by Patrick Cox ( 450) that we have in store.
3 Something which melds contrasting fabrics. We have a wool and silk thread frock coat in store by Temperly ( 1,280) which is beautifully embroidered yet stunningly simple and wearable.
