Don't need college to make a decent living

EOIN Higgins must have been delighted when Claire Byrne went on leave so he could have a moan about tradesmen and their wages. It was obviously bothering him, but to say his friend could afford a 2007 Mercedes on carpenter's wages is simply fantasy. I would believe him if he said his friend served his time to carpentry and now is a subcontractor employing several other carpenters, or had gone a step further and become a developer. That would make sense.

He seems also to wish that going to college should be a prerequisite to earning a decent salary. Well if this is the case, he should be having a go at that amadan Bill Gates, who could not even finish college.
