LISTOWEL'S Harvest Festival meeting comes to a close this afternoon and Tony Martin's Royal Ascot winner Leg Spinner is fancied to continue the trainer's winning ways at the venue with further success in the Kerry Spring Water Hurdle.
The eight-year-old followed up his flat win at the Shergar Cup meeting with victory over timber at the Galway Festival. Leg Spinner has been raised 16lb for that success, and although today's two-mile trip may be on the sharp side for him, he gets the vote to shade it at the expense of Seamies Dream.
Seamies Dream's stablecompanion Druids Castle, with Barry Geraghty in the saddle, holds most appeal in the Dawn Milk Handicap Chase. Macs Flamingo and Clew Bay Cove rank as the dangers. Dual bumper winner Life For Rent, who has filled the runner-up spot on his two hurdle outings to date, deserves to get his chance under Andrew Lynch in the Charleville Cheese Maiden Hurdle, while Rugged Jem is another one due a change of luck in the Dawn Orange Milk Handicap Hurdle.
The Willie Mullins-trained veteran Adamant Approach should appreciate the return to the flat in the Listowel Supporters Club Slan Abhaile (QR) Race and can reward the trainer's son Patrick by claiming his first win in the race.
