A Square deal
June Edwards

EIGHT new showhouses opened at Adamstown Square, the latest phase of the massive Adamstown development, which will eventually see the creation of 10,000 new homes in west Dublin.

Developed by Castlethorn Construction, Adamstown Square is a courtyard-style scheme comprising eight different two-, three- and fourbed homes.

And with prices ranging from 310,000 to 495,000, homes here should attract a wide range of buyers.

All homes have good internal space ranging from a twobed apartment of 78sq m (839sq ft) to a four-bed townhouse of 144sq m (1,549sq ft).

Adamstown is Ireland's first Strategic Development Zone (SDZ), a government initiative to fast-track planning for starter homes.

This new neighbourhood will be largely self-contained with its own schools, creches, shops, restaurants and train station.

Townhouses at Adamstown Square come with private back gardens, while ground and first-floor duplexes either have a small trellised patio or upper floor balcony.

Buyers have a choice of four kitchen styles, along with a choice of fireplaces and paint colours, and all homes are wired for Smarthome technology.
