O'BRIEN SIGNS NEW NORTHANTS CONTRACT



Ireland wicketkeeper Niall O'Brien this weekend signed a new contract with Northamptonshire. The 26-yearold had been offered a move to Warwickshire bit decide to stay at Wantage Road.

O'Brien, who is off to India shortly to play in the rebel Twenty20 Indian league, finished the season as first choice keeper with Northants. He joined the county after three years understudying former England star Geraint Jones at Kent.
