HOW the mighty have fallen. Sinn Fein had ambitions to be involved in a new government in Leinster House, but the voters last May determined otherwise.
Now the new parliamentary numbers on the opposition benches mean that, unlike in the last Dail, Sinn Fein has been squeezed out of speaking entitlements, among other privileges. But at least Caoimhghin O Caolain has come to accept his new position. He described Sinn Fein in the Dail last week as akin to being "the runt of the litter".
