US to give /20m in aid to North Korea



GEORGE W Bush has authorised 20m in fuel aid to North Korea under an agreement aimed at ending the country's nuclear programme. In a deal made in February, the US and other participants at six-party talks agreed to provide North Korea with aid. In return North Korea said it would shut down its main nuclear reactor . . . which it did in July . . . and eventually dismantle its entire nuclear programme.
