Powerscourt Springs for sale

POWERSCOURT SPRINGS, the country's original health farm, is for sale. Since it was established 11 years ago the facility, located outside the village of Enniskerry in Co Wicklow, has been synonymous with quality and service.

Selling agents, CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) which expects the property to achieve about 12m, emphasise the farm's "substantial and consistent levels of turnover" as well as its strong and loyal client base.

Powerscourt is famous for its idyllic setting, superb service, state of the art facilities and extensive range of treatments, programmes and activities.

The farm comprises 18 en-suite bedrooms, 25 treatment rooms, full leisure facilities and a range of ancillary lounges, relaxation areas and a restaurant.

The property extends to a gross area of 1,710sq m (18,405sq ft). In addition, there are extensive outbuildings measuring a further 786sq m (8,460sq ft).

"There is significant potential, subject to securing planning permission, to further develop the business and increase the number of bedrooms and treatment rooms, " says CBRE's Paul Collins.

"This could be achieved by converting and extending the outbuildings. There's also the potential for alternative uses including nursing home, medical care centre, hospital or hospice and residential education centre, again, subject to planning permission."

The property and business is being sold by tender with bids to be submitted no later than 12 noon on Wednesday 24 October.

Further information from Paul Collins, CBRE tel 01618 5500.
