THERE are a few things that people want from their wedding band. They want it to be memorable. They want it to be tight. They want it to look good. And, most of all, they want people to be able to dance to it.
Holly and the Go Lights encapsulates all of these attributes, while adding that ineffable quality of class . . . which is little surprise from a band whose name evokes the image of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Formed as a six piece in 2001 by Grainne and Mike Brookfield, Holly and the Go Lights has grown to include eight musicians playing a mixture of swing, jump and jive, and good, old fashioned rock and roll.
The band has an excellent track record, and members have backgrounds ranging from playing the West End to playing with such major names as Gerry Fish. They have also played some major venues . . . from a regular spot in the Sugar Club to a stint playing for the President at Aras an Uachtarain.
But what makes Holly and the Go Lights ideal for your wedding is the band's energy, visual style and overall musicianship . . . coupled with an innate knowledge of how to get a crowd on its feet. From standards such as "Big Spender" and "Face the Music and Dance" to classic rock from such stalwarts as Eddie Cochrane, Holly and the Go Lights' big band presence will ensure that the music is one of the highlights of your big day.
