ATthe International Property Awards in London last month the "best Development in Portugal" was awarded to the Westin CampoReal Golf Resort and Spa.
The resort has now launched The Vineyards, a luxurious addition totalling 73 hectares, 12 of which are vineyards set in natural surroundings along Portugal's Silver Coast and thirty minutes from the capital at Lisbon.
Consisting of 326 residences the apartments are set over two levels, the townhouses have hedged gardens, terraces and swimming pools and the villas come in four different styles, have a private pool and range from four to five bedrooms.
The Vineyards will see a further nine holes added to the existing 18-hole golf course designed by Donald Steel and will offer three well-balanced loops of nine, called The Lakes, The Vineyards and The Meadows.
Renowned as a challenging course, with rolling hills and wooded valleys, there is also a golf academy on site.
Once built, The Vineyard will also include a 70-bed boutique hotel and a fivestar 90-room condo-hotel.
Managed by the Starwood Group, buyers will also benefit from features such as professional tennis facilities, a sports pitch, leisure facilities and nature trails.
"The Vineyards is positioned on the Silver Coast which has seen a consistent capital annual growth of around 10-15% over the past few years. Many buyers are attracted to the region's natural beauty and prefer it to the overdeveloped, overpopulated and high-priced Algarve, " Eduardo Netto de Almeida, executive chairman of Orizon CampoReal said at the launch in Dublin.
The price of properties at Westin CampoReal Golf Resort & Spa has risen by over 60% in four years and The Vineyards comes with a guaranteed rental return of 5%-6% over two or three years in addition to up to six weeks' annual stay at the resort.
Launch prices start from 222,000 for a two-bed apartment, 386,000 for a three-bed townhouse, and 610,019 for a four-bed villa.
