I drive. . . a Nissan Adventurer and Toyota Prius. I like both and my wife is a real fan of the Prius use of Hybrid technology.
If I have time to myself I. . . ride motorbikes around the English countryside, finding new routes, road and scenic areas, where I can totally unwind.
You wouldn't know it, but I am very good at. . . riding dirt bikes. have been riding since I was a child and I still find myself getting better all the time.
You may not know it but I am very bad at. . . being alone. I love constant company, be it at home with my wife, enjoying time with the kids or when making Long Way Down.
A book that changed me. . . Jupiter Travels, by Ted Simons. It's a soulful heart warming book about travel and how it affected the author.
Movie heaven. . . Any science fiction film. I love sitting on my own in a cinema and being captivated by the experience, the only time I like to be alone.
When I was a child I wanted to be. . . A motor racer, Barry Steen in particular, all my dreams were filled with motor racing . . . racers and racing bikes.
All my money goes on. . . My children and particularly my children's private school fees, doing up motorbikes and travelling.
At night I dream of. . . When I am away I dream of being with my wife and family and when I am at home, I dream of riding motorcycles across barren lands.
My biggest regret. . . Not becoming a Moto GP (Motor Grand Prix) Racer, however there may be time for me yet.
If I wasn't me I'd like to be. . . either a Motor GP Racer or a stunt racer . . . yes, both involve motorbikes of some sort!
It's not fashionable but I like. . . old school biker boots, I wear them all the time and with everything, regardless of the looks. You can't beat them for comfort . . . once you break them in.
The soundtrack to my life. . . The Jam, the Clash, the Police . They bring me right back to when I was 17 years old and living the life of a normal/part-movie star/part motor bike rider. During the filming of Long Way Down, we put all of our favourite songs on our mobile phone playlists and had them linked in so it was wired into our helmets, endless music for endless journeys.
The best invention ever. . . well I would have to say motorbikes of course and after that the Nokia 6610 Navigator handset, which we used in Long Way Down.
