LEAVE IT TO MR O'BRIEN
Doyenne of Irish knitwear, Lainey Kehoe is 50, and celebrated the occasion this week by auctioning 50 signature pieces which she created specially for the occasion. All proceeds went to the ISPCC and Chernobyl Children's Project. You may have missed the auction but you can still catch a glimpse of the stunning archived pieces, worn by some of the most iconic women in the world, including Kate Moss and Jacqueline Onassis, all day today on Level One, Brown Thomas, Dublin.
KNIT WIT
Last week saw the launch of the new Peter O'Brien collection for A-wear. As the stampeding females stormed the Grafton Street store on Thursday night to stock up on these exquisite limited edition pieces, we asked for a reaction. While it was a 'little bit matronly' for some tastes (you're not going to find anything remotely killer-sexy here), others gave it a thumbs up for work wear and wardrobe classics. Pictured: winner of the a-wear 'can you fill this shoe' competetition, Michelle Cullen wears glass button coat, 300.
