Rosie Shortt terms the premises "a lifestyle showroom which is a one-stop shop for people who are furnishing their home with goods at the top end of the market". While continuing to keep their premises open through a 10 month, 1.5 million refurbishment, they now present a showroom tripled in size to Dublin's increasingly discerning homeowner; a 14,000 sq, foot space which boasts 12 full kitchens, two of which, are fully functioning.

"We think that aspect of a visit to Houseworks is a unique one, " Rosie Shortt tells me."Our Appliance Sales Manager, Ruth Wassell, is also a qualified chef who trained at Ballymaloe School in Cork which means that visitors can speak to a person with culinary expertise in an environment where the products can not only be seen, but seen functioning."

Earlier this year at the prestigious International 'kbbreview' 2007 Industry Awards, Houseworks were awarded the highest honour of 'Master Retailer for Kitchens'.

The Houseworks Showrooms in Belfast made it a double victory when they were awarded the 2007 Showroom for Kitchens. In the 13 year history of the event, Houseworks are the first retailer to win both these awards in the same year.

"We are delighted to be the sole supplier in Ireland of the Siematic Kitchen range", Rosie adds. Their quality products have been the core of our business for 24 years.

"We are one of three dealers worldwide who feature in their brochure; just Milan, Paris and Houseworks, in little old Dublin, " she quips.

Houseworks are also exclusive agents for Rolf Benz living and dining room furniture; Wackenhut bedroom furniture and Kettnaker living room furniture.

They also supply other superior brands such as Neff, Viking, Kupperbusch and Gaggenau.

Houseworks hope to bring that unique lifestyle experience to Cork, enlarging existing premises there next year.
