IS Bertie Ahern about to be joined by a second millionaire in his household? Speculation surrounding a 1m pay-out by Hello! magazine for exclusive photo rights to the upcoming wedding of Georgina Ahern and Westlife star Nicky Byrne suggests that the Taoiseach's annual earnings of 200,000 are about to be dwarfed once again by those of a daughter.

According to music industry sources, Hello! magazine has agreed to pay up to stg£700,000 ? close to 1m ? for photos of the happy couple on their wedding day. The wedding is due to take place at a secret location close to Paris next month.

While a long way short of the estimated stg£1m plus that OK!

magazine paid for the rights to the Beckham wedding in 1999, the more down-to-earth Georgina and Nicky will presumably not have the expense of the two gold thrones favoured by Posh and Becks at their wedding. The Hello! deal would represent the second large windfall for the Ahern family in recent months, after the Taoiseach's youngest daughter, Celicia, signed an advance book deal in excess of 1m. A source at Hello! magazine declined to comment on how much the magazine was paying for the photo rights but said the Ahern-Byrne wedding would boost sales in both the Irish and British markets.
