REWRITING THE PAST
Darren Clarke appears to have been affected by a bout of selective amnesia. Not that he was denying his infamous shank out-of-bounds during the final round at Troon in 1997 took place, just that he was moving the scene of the crime to the third tee. It was, as he was reminded, the second. In fairness, Troon's prosaic run of opening holes look very much alike.
