Anyone on Coleen McLoughlinwatch in recent months may have noticed how much she loves animals.

So much so that she owns 25 chinchillas and minks in the form of a parka jacket, and five pythons (one of her handbags).

A heartless fiend, you might think . . . but on the contrary, as she demonstrated when recently asked about the provenance of her new rabbit skin Mukluk boots, Coleen obviously puts a lot of thought into the ethics of her purchases. "Rabbits get killed for food, so why waste the skins?" she pointed out.

Peta, unsurprisingly, were unimpressed by her argument . . . as were the 70 million rabbits killed every year exclusively for their fur. But who has time to check facts when you're busy shopping?
