Rose of Tralee host Ray D'Arcy has revealed his partner Jenny Kelly is on the mend after being rushed to hospital earlier this month.
Kelly, who regularly appears on his morning show on Today FM, was rushed to hospital to undergo emergency surgery after complaining of feeling unwell at the couple's Dublin home. The mother-of-one (36) had to have a cyst removed but is now making a full recovery and was able to accompany D'Arcy down to Kerry where he will host tonight's Rose of Tralee beauty pageant.
Forty-four year-old D'Arcy told the Sunday Tribune: "Jenny is on the mend now and is doing fine. Myself, Jenny and our daughter Kate are staying in a house down here by the sea. We'll be here till at least till Friday which will give Jenny a chance to have a good rest."
It was D'Arcy who first broke the news of Kelly's health scare when he told thousands of listeners to their radio show that his partner was taking some time off.
"We had a bit of drama and we had to rush to accident and emergency with Jenny on Sunday night. Thankfully everybody is okay now but Jenny will be off for a couple of weeks to get some much needed rest."
Station sources say that Kelly has been inundated with well-wishers since D'Arcy spoke about her ordeal.
