Musician Jim Corr has declared his interest in running for political office as an independent candidate in order to ensure Ireland does not become part of a European federal state.
In an interview with the Sunday Tribune, the Corrs guitarist said he was "overwhelmed" by the recent public support he received after claiming that rogue elements of the Bush administration were responsible for the 9/11 attacks. The 43-year-old was a prominent voice in the 'no' camp during the recent Lisbon treaty campaign.
He claims the Irish government contains a number of Freemasons and that there is a worldwide conspiracy to microchip people so governments can control and manipulate citizens.
This is great news for the Yes camp. Once this nut case hits the airwaves advocating a no vote people will vote yes in their droves. Let these anti American and anti European conspiracy theorists go a step too far next time out. Bring on Lisbon 2. One thing's for sure-Corr and his supporters won't create any jobs that will put food on the table. What an ar******.
