Manchester City have reportedly made a world-record bid for Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas. Reports in Spain say the English side have offered more than €150m for the player. However, Casillas has reportedly rejected the €13m-a-year he was being offered to play for City, who were recently taken over by Arab billionaires. The current world record transfer fee for a football player is the €76m that Real Madrid paid to Juventus for Zinedine Zidane in 2001. Man City have already broken the British record after buying Brazilian striker Robinho for €42m last summer.
