Two suspect devices in Cork have been declared false alarms. Hundreds of people were evacuated from their homes in Arderin Way in the city this morning after a suspect device was reported in a car. The Army Bomb Disposal Unit attended the scene and carried out a controlled explosion. The second incident occurred after a man handed a package into a school in Ballincollig, which was then passed on to Gardaí. It was examined, found to be a false alarm, and the area was declared safe. A man in his forties was later arrested.
