An elderly American tourist has been located following a major search operation in County Clare this afternoon. The man, who is in his seventies and suffers from an insulin-regulation problem, failed to return to his B&B; last night. The Shannon Helicopter was launched and Ennis Gardai began a ground search this morning. The man was located in a field and was treated by the coastguard paramedics from the helicopter before being airlifted to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick where he is now recovering.
