Gardai in Kilkenny are appealing for the public's help in identifying the body of a man found in the River Nore yesterday. The body of the man, in his mid-sixties, was found near Mount Juliet - it's believed he was in the water for over a fortnight. Post mortem results on the man's body have ruled out foul play in his death. The man is described as 5 foot 10, of stocky build and well dressed, with thinning hair - the index finger on his right hand has been surgically removed. Anyone with any information on the man's identity is asked to contact Thomastown Garda Station.
