The woman who was found stabbed to death in the Phoenix Park in Dublin two weeks ago has been named by Gardaí as Eugenia Bratis from Romania. She was officially named this evening after DNA tests confirmed her identity at the weekend. The 50-year-old had been travelling back and forth between Ireland and Romania for two years, and was last seen begging around the O'Connell Street area in Dublin. Her body was discovered nearly two weeks ago in a wooded area of the Phoenix Park. She had been stabbed repeatedly. Gardaí are still hunting for the murderer, and are appealing to anyone who may have seen Eugenia in the days before she was killed to contact Gardaí in Cabra on 01-666 7400.
